You can use line numbers to make it easy for you to refer back to certain lines within a document such as a contract, script, or other similar documents. This is how you can add line numbers to Microsoft Word.

Select the appropriate option from your open document Print Layout View The following are the View tab.

You can choose one of these options:
Continuous: Each line of the document should be numbered.
Restart Each Page: : For every page, begin the numbering at .
