Slack only works on Windows, macOS iOS, Android and Linux. ChromeOS has not yet been supported or an app made by the company. If you already have an account, Chromebook, You can use Slack with Google Chrome and any other browser.
You can also install Slack Linux from another source ChromeOS supports Linux applications. . This guide will show you how to install and run Slack for Linux from Chromebooks.
ChromeOS 69 and newer Chromebooks can be installed Slack via the Linux development environment.
Go to Settings > About ChromeOS Check the ChromeOS version of your Chromebook to make sure it is up-to-date.
If you have already set up the Linux development environment, continue to the next section.
If you don’t have an Internet connection for Chromebook, then connect it to the internet at Settings > Developers, Choose and Turn on next to “Linux development environment.”

Once you have successfully set up Linux, the next step is to install Slack onto your Chromebook.

Terminal will automatically download and save Slack’s installation file to your “Linux Files” folder within the Files app. You can also access the Slack website via Google Chrome browser.
