Chrome hides the recycle bin and trash can by default. This is in contrast to Windows or macOS. Any files that were deleted after enabling the recycling bin will be permanently erased and can’t be restored. You have to delete the files before you can enable the recycle bin new Chromebook, If you do not want to use the recycling bin, it is best to remove it.
