All of us have been frustrated by annoying pop-ups in the past. Pop-ups can be disabled in Chrome, but some sites will trick you into clicking the wrong buttons.
There are also sites that use cookies to track and store your information. Although you have the option to disable cookies completely, it can make it more difficult for web services, such as email or ecommerce, to be able to access them.
It would be amazing if these settings could be customized site by site. Google Chrome allows you to do this. Here’s how.
Site settings, or content settings is what it’s now known as, allows users to change site permissions for a variety of activities. These include Javascript, cookies, Javascript and background sync. Other things that can be modified are location, microphone access, camera and camera.
This method is more effective than disabling JavaScript and cookies entirely from the browser. You can also be very selective. The problem web pages can be restricted, but the rest of the browsing experience will not be affected.
It is amazing how easily these settings can be found. It used to take a lot of work to locate something similar in the past. You can now modify all aspects of your browsing experience with Chrome in just a few clicks.
You can access your content settings easily. You used to have to navigate to the previous version of Chrome chrome://settings/content, It was difficult to remember. It is now possible to find it in the regular Google Chrome Settings.
8 Additional Permissions
Google Chrome doesn’t require you to go to the settings each time you need to modify content settings. These settings can be modified much easier using the omnibar, which is the bar that contains the address field.
